How to inspire your team.

If you lead a team, an organization, or lead one other person – this post is for you.

Like a good self help book shelf there are 100’s of ideas, I’m going to share one powerful one.

You get frustrated when your team doesn’t get excited about your mission. You want them to get excited about it because you see how it will benefit them.

They don’t see it.

You have to help them see their future with you. If you don’t give them an ideal future, they will find it elsewhere.

At Alluring Glass we are trying this:

Here is why it works:

1. It addresses income (they’re thinking about it)
2. It addresses position (they’re thinking about it)
3. They see a picture of themselves with you

Here’s why it is hard:

1. Can you deliver on it?

The reason to stay away from this is because the future is uncertain and it’s easier to be non committal. But if you don’t commit to your team, how will they ever commit to you.
