I do the same thing every morning from 5:30 to 7am. I love habits. But not today…

I tried writing from a prompt today about an escalator. It reminded me of an escalator in Greece we used to enter into the city from the airport.

It lead to a few paragraphs about the moment I saw Monastiraki, Greece for the first time. I reimagined a moment full of anticipation. I can feel the excitement as we entered a new world.

I stole that anticipation from Monastiraki and carried it into my boring day. But instead of it being boring I experienced more creativity and color.

Give it a shot. Break a pattern. Release the creativity!
